１９６１年的泼水节，傣族人民特别高兴，因为敬爱的周恩来总理和他们一起过泼水节。/En la Fiesta del Agua de 1961, el pueblo dai estaba especialmente contento, porque el querido primer ministro Zhou Enlai la celebraba con ellos./At the 1961 Water-Splashing Festival the Dai people were especially happy, because their beloved Premier Zhou Enlai was celebrating with them.
那天早晨，人们敲起象脚鼓，从四面八方赶来了。/Aquella mañana, la gente tocaba los tambores de pie de elefante y acudía de todas partes./That morning people beat their elephant-foot drums and hurried in from all directions.
为了欢迎周总理，人们在地上撒满了凤凰花的花瓣，好像铺上了鲜红的地毯。/Para dar la bienvenida al primer ministro, cubrieron el suelo de pétalos de flamboyán, como si hubieran extendido una alfombra roja./To welcome Premier Zhou, people scattered phoenix-flower petals all over the ground, as if they had laid a bright red carpet.
