１９２８年，朱德同志带领队伍到井冈山，跟毛泽东同志会师了。/En 1928, el camarada Zhu De llevó a sus tropas a los montes Jinggang y se unió al camarada Mao Zedong./In 1928 Comrade Zhu De led his troops to the Jinggang Mountains and joined forces with Comrade Mao Zedong.
红军在山上，山下不远处就是敌人。/El Ejército Rojo estaba en la montaña y, al pie, no muy lejos, estaba el enemigo./The Red Army was up on the mountain, and the enemy was not far away below.
井冈山上生产粮食不多，常常要抽出一些人到山下去挑粮。/En los montes Jinggang se producía poco grano, así que a menudo había que mandar a algunos hombres al llano a acarrearlo./Little grain was grown in the Jinggang Mountains, so men often had to be sent down to carry grain up.
从井冈山到茅坪，来回有五六十里，山高路陡，非常难走。/De los montes Jinggang a Maoping, ida y vuelta, había cincuenta o sesenta li; los montes eran altos y los caminos empinados, muy difíciles de recorrer./From the Jinggang Mountains to Maoping and back was fifty or sixty li; the mountains were high and the paths steep, very hard going.
可是每次挑粮，大家都争着去。/Pero cada vez que había que acarrear grano, todos se ofrecían./But every time grain had to be carried, everyone vied to go.

白天挑粮爬山，晚上还常常整夜整夜地研究怎样跟敌人打仗。/De día acarreaba grano y subía montañas, y por la noche pasaba a menudo noches enteras estudiando cómo combatir al enemigo./By day he carried grain up the mountain, and at night he often spent whole nights working out how to fight the enemy.

不料，朱德同志又找来一根扁担，写上朱德的扁担五个字。/Pero, sin que nadie lo esperara, Zhu De encontró otra pértiga y escribió en ella: «La pértiga de Zhu De»./Unexpectedly, Comrade Zhu De found another pole and wrote on it the words “Zhu De's carrying pole”.
