** 10_曹冲称象/Cáo Chōng chēng xiàng/Cao Chong pesa el elefante/Cao Chong Weighs an Elephant **
一千多年前，中国有个大官，叫曹操。/Hace más de mil años, en China había un gran funcionario llamado Cao Cao./Over a thousand years ago, there was a great official in China named Cao Cao.
一天，有人从南方用船运来一头大象。/Un día, alguien trajo un elefante en barco desde el sur./One day, someone brought an elephant by boat from the south.
曹操知道了，就带着儿子曹冲和官员们一起去河边看大象。/Cao Cao se enteró, y llevó a su hijo Cao Chong y a los funcionarios a ver el elefante junto al río./Cao Cao heard about it, and took his son Cao Chong and the officials together to see the elephant by the river.
这头象又高又大，身子像一面墙，/Este elefante era muy alto y grande, su cuerpo era como una pared,/This elephant was tall and big, its body like a wall,

有人说上哪儿去找这么大的秤呢？/Alguien dijo: '¿Dónde vamos a encontrar una balanza tan grande?'/Someone said: “Where would we find such a big scale?”
有人说就是有这么大的秤，也没有人抬得动它。/Alguien dijo: 'Aunque hubiera una balanza tan grande, nadie podría levantarla.'/Someone said: “Even if there were such a big scale, no one could lift it.”

曹冲不慌不忙地说把大象赶到一条木船上，然后在船边沿着水面画一条线再把大象赶上岸，往船上装石头等船下沉到刚才画线的地方，称一称船上的石头，就知道大象有多重了。/Cao Chong dijo con calma: 'Llevemos al elefante a una barca, y luego marquemos una línea en el borde de la barca a nivel del agua; después llevemos al elefante de vuelta a tierra, y carguemos piedras en la barca; cuando la barca se hunda hasta la línea que marcamos, pesamos las piedras de la barca, y sabremos cuánto pesa el elefante.'/Cao Chong calmly said: “Let's lead the elephant onto a wooden boat, then draw a line along the waterline on the side of the boat; then lead the elephant back to shore, and load rocks onto the boat; when the boat sinks to the line we just drew, weigh the rocks on the boat, and we'll know how much the elephant weighs.”
