唐僧Táng Sēng师徒shītú四sì人rén，一起yìqǐ去qù西天Xītiān取经qǔjīng。/El Monje Tang y sus tres discípulos, cuatro en total, iban juntos hacia el Oeste en busca de las sutras./Tang Monk and his three disciples, four in all, were traveling together to the West to fetch the sutras.
一天Yìtiān中午zhōngwǔ，天气tiānqì特别tèbié热rè，他们Tāmen走得zǒude又yòu累lèi又yòu渴kě。/Un mediodía, hacía un calor terrible, y ellos estaban cansados y sedientos de tanto caminar./One noon, the weather was extremely hot, and they were both tired and thirsty from walking.
孙悟空Sūn Wùkōng对duì唐僧Táng Sēng说shuō：“师父Shīfu，你们nǐmen在zài这里zhèlǐ歇xiē一会儿yíhuìr，我wǒ去qù摘zhāi些xiē瓜果guāguǒ来lái解渴jiěkě。”/Sun Wukong le dijo al Monje Tang: “Maestro, descansen un rato aquí, que yo voy a recoger algo de fruta para quitarnos la sed.”/Sun Wukong said to Tang Monk: “Master, rest here for a while, I'll go pick some melons and fruit to quench our thirst.”

孙悟空Sūn Wùkōng走了zǒule以后yǐhòu，猪八戒Zhū Bājiè就jiù找了zhǎole个gè阴凉yīnliáng的de地方dìfang，想xiǎng好好hǎohāo睡一觉shuìyíjiào。他Tā脱下tuōxià上衣shàngyī刚gāng想xiǎng躺下tǎngxià，忽然hūrán看见kànjiàn树下shùxià有yǒu个gè大dà西瓜xīguā！/Después de que Sun Wukong se fue, Zhu Bajie buscó un lugar fresco y sombreado, con ganas de dormir una buena siesta. 他Tā高兴gāoxìng极了jíle，把bǎ西瓜xīguā分成fēnchéng四sì块kuài，打算dǎsuan把bǎ三sān块kuài大的dàde留liú给gěi师父shīfu、猴hóu哥gē和hé沙僧Shā Sēng，自己zìjǐ选了xuǎnle一块yíkuài最zuì小xiǎo的de，张开zhāngkāi大dà嘴巴zuǐba，一口yìkǒu就jiù吃完了chīwánle。/Se puso contentísimo, dividió la sandía en cuatro trozos, y pensó en dejarle a su maestro, al hermano mono y a Sha Seng los tres trozos grandes; él mismo escogió el más pequeño, abrió bien la boca, y se lo terminó de un bocado./He was overjoyed, divided the watermelon into four pieces, and planned to leave the three big pieces for his master, brother monkey, and Sha Seng; he himself chose the smallest one, opened his mouth wide, and finished it in one bite.
吃了Chīle一块yíkuài西瓜xīguā，八戒Bājiè反而fǎn'ér觉得juéde更gèng渴kě了le。/Después de comerse un trozo de sandía, a Bajie le entró aún más sed./After eating one piece of watermelon, Bajie felt even thirstier instead.
