Nuòbèi'ěr/Nobel/Nobel
/Nobel nació en 1833 en Suecia. Desde pequeño era de salud frágil y se enfermaba con frecuencia, pero tenía una voluntad firme, y no se resignaba a quedarse atrás./Nobel was born in 1833 in Sweden. From childhood he was frail and often ill, but had a strong will, and refused to be left behind.
His father loved doing chemistry experiments, and often told him stories of scientists, encouraging him to become a useful person when he grew up.
有一次Yǒuyícì,小xiǎo诺贝尔Nuòbèi'ěr看见kànjiàn父亲fùqīn在zài研制yánzhì炸药zhàyào,就jiù问wèn:“爸爸Bàba,炸药zhàyào伤人shāngrén,是shì最zuì可怕的kěpàde东西dōngxi,你Nǐ为什么wèishénme还hái要yào制造zhìzào它tā?”/Una vez, el pequeño Nobel vio a su padre desarrollando explosivos, y le preguntó: “Papá, los explosivos hieren a la gente, son lo más terrible que existe, ¿por qué sigues fabricándolos?”/Once, little Nobel saw his father developing explosives, and asked: “Dad, explosives hurt people, they're the most terrifying thing, why do you still make them?”
爸爸Bàba回答说huídáshuō:“炸药Zhàyào可以kěyǐ开kāi矿kuàng、筑路zhùlù,许多xǔduō地方dìfang需要xūyào它tā呢ne!”/El padre respondió: “¡Los explosivos sirven para abrir minas y construir carreteras, muchos lugares los necesitan!”/His father replied: “Explosives can be used to open mines and build roads, many places need them!”
/Nobel asintió con la cabeza, entendiendo a medias, y dijo: “Cuando sea mayor, yo también haré explosivos.”/Nobel nodded half-understanding, and said: “When I grow up, I'll also make explosives.”
During his youth, Nobel traveled to various countries in Europe and America for four years, and learned that many countries urgently demanded the development of the mining industry, and to speed up mining rates, but the existing explosives still couldn't meet this need.
/Así que Nobel decidió mejorar la técnica de fabricación de explosivos, y desarrollar nuevos explosivos./So, Nobel decided to improve explosive production technology, and develop new explosives.
Before Nobel, many people had already researched and manufactured explosives, such as Chinese black powder and the nitroglycerin invented by an Italian.
But black powder had little explosive force, and nitroglycerin was hard to control, and very dangerous.
/Nobel empezó por la fabricación e investigación de la nitroglicerina, usando pólvora negra para detonarla, y más tarde inventó también el detonador de fulminato, encontrando un método eficaz para hacer explotar la nitroglicerina./Nobel started with the manufacture and research of nitroglycerin, using black powder to detonate it, and later also invented the blasting cap, finding an effective method for making nitroglycerin explode.
After initial success, a huge explosion occurred in Nobel's laboratory, which was a great setback for him. In order to continue his experiments, Nobel had no choice but to move his laboratory onto a boat.
/Después de varias vicisitudes, finalmente encontró un nuevo lugar, y estableció la primera fábrica de nitroglicerina del mundo./After several setbacks, he finally found a new place, and established the world's first nitroglycerin factory.
/El camino de investigación de Nobel estuvo lleno de dificultades y calamidades./Nobel's research path was full of difficulties and misfortunes.
/La nitroglicerina que fabricaba explotaba a menudo accidentalmente, provocando muchos accidentes trágicos, pero Nobel no se desanimó./The nitroglycerin he manufactured often exploded accidentally, causing many tragic accidents, but Nobel didn't lose heart.
/Tras repetidos experimentos, finalmente logró inventar con éxito un explosivo industrial cuyo transporte y uso eran muy seguros./After repeated experiments, he finally succeeded in inventing an industrial explosive that was very safe both to transport and to use.
/Después de inventarse el explosivo seguro, se aplicó de inmediato en muchos ámbitos, como la minería y la construcción de carreteras./After the safe explosive was invented, it was immediately applied in many fields such as mining and road construction.
/La producción de explosivos aumentó enormemente, y la fortuna de Nobel también fluyó a raudales, pero su vida siguió siendo muy sencilla./The output of explosives rose sharply, and Nobel's fortune also flowed in abundantly, but Nobel's life remained very simple.
/Por dedicación a su labor, nunca se casó en toda su vida./For the sake of his work, he never married in his whole life.
/Un año antes de morir, Nobel dejó un testamento, en el que estipulaba que una parte de su fortuna se destinara a fundar un instituto de investigación, y otra parte se usara como fondo de premios, para recompensar a las personas de todo el mundo que hicieran contribuciones destacadas en los campos de la física, la química, la medicina y fisiología, la literatura y la causa de la paz./One year before his death, Nobel left a will, stipulating that part of his fortune be used to establish a research institute, and another part be used as a prize fund, to reward people around the world who made outstanding contributions in the fields of physics, chemistry, medicine and physiology, literature, and the cause of peace.
/Hoy en día, la gente considera poder obtener el Premio Nobel como un honor supremo./Nowadays, people regard being able to win the Nobel Prize as a supreme honor.
