Mù'ǒu Qíyù Jì》。/A mí me gusta mucho un cuento de hadas que se llama “Las aventuras de Pinocho”./I really like a fairy tale called “The Adventures of Pinocchio.”
The story tells of an old man named Geppetto who made a puppet.
This puppet was very special: he could open his eyes and see things, could speak and sing, and could even lift his legs and walk.
/El anciano le puso el nombre de Pinocho, le hizo ropa y lo mandó a la escuela./The old man gave him the name Pinocchio, made him clothes, and sent him to school.
/Pero a Pinocho le gustaba mucho jugar; en cuanto salía a la calle, seguía a otros niños al gran teatro de marionetas para ver el espectáculo./But Pinocchio loved to play; as soon as he got to the street, he'd follow other children to the big puppet theater to watch the show.
/En el teatro causó un lío y por poco lo arrojan al fuego./At the theater he caused trouble and nearly got thrown into a fire and burned.
He didn't like studying either; all day long he only wanted to go play in Toyland.
/Una vez, en el País de los Juguetes, se convirtió en un burro./Once, in Toyland, he was turned into a donkey.
/Un circo lo compró y se lo llevó en un carro./A circus bought him and hauled him away in a cart.
He suffered a lot along the way, and finally, at sea, he ran into old Geppetto.
/El anciano Geppetto lo llevó de vuelta a casa./Old Geppetto brought him back home again.
From then on, Pinocchio corrected his bad habits, learned to do things properly, and also learned to study hard and take care of the old man.
/Un día, Pinocho se despertó y descubrió que ya no era una marioneta, sino que se había convertido en un niño hermoso./One day, Pinocchio woke up and discovered that he was no longer a puppet, but had turned into a handsome boy.
This is a fairy tale story on a stamp.
/A mí me gusta coleccionar sellos, porque son un tesoro de conocimiento./I like collecting stamps, because they are a treasure trove of knowledge.

把Bǎ午wǔ写成xiěchéng牛niú,把bǎ鸟niǎo写成xiěchéng乌wū,/Escribía 午 (wǔ) como 牛 (niú), y escribía 鸟 (niǎo) como 乌 (wū),/He wrote 午 (wǔ) as 牛 (niú), and wrote 鸟 (niǎo) as 乌 (wū),

/Dime tú si es despistado o no./You tell me, is he careless or not.
Pedagogical Commentary: Going to the post office: vocabulary of appreciation and emotional expression: 1. The transparency of form: Observing 局 (jú) or 寄 (jì) helps connect the character's shape to its meaning, instead of memorizing it blindly. 2. The leap from character to word: These characters are rarely used alone; learning one opens the door to many new words. 3. Memory through context: Learning a character like 好 (hào) together with a real sentence helps far more than memorizing its meaning in isolation.
