Qìchē de gùshi/La historia del automóvil/The Story of Automobile
/Ahora hay cada vez más coches./Nowadays, there are more and more cars.
可是Kěshì,你们Nǐmen知道zhīdào最早zuìzǎo的de汽车qìchē是shì什么shénme样子yàngzi的de吗ma?/Pero, ¿sabéis cómo era el primer coche?/But do you know what the earliest car looked like?
Long ago, people traveled by horse, and also used horses to transport things. Later, the Englishman Steven built a cart with two sails, that moved forward when the wind blew.
/Pero, si no había viento, el carro no se movía./But if there was no wind, the cart couldn't move.
The Frenchman Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot mounted a steam engine on a carriage, and this was the earliest automobile.
But when the steam engine sounded, the noise was very loud, and sitting in the car was very uncomfortable.
Not until the early 20th century did the American Ford create a car with a shape similar to today's.
/Hoy en día, en las carreteras amplias y llanas, circulan sin parar coches de todo tipo./Today, on wide flat roads, all kinds of cars flow endlessly.
There are small cars, minivans, off-road vehicles, and also big trucks and buses... There are so many types of cars, you can't name them all at once.
我们Wǒmen一起yìqǐ来lái想一想xiǎngyixiǎng,未来wèilái的de汽车qìchē又yòu会huì是shì什么shénme样子yàngzi呢ne?/Pensemos juntos, ¿cómo serán los coches del futuro?/Let's think together, what will cars of the future look like?
Pedagogical Commentary: Gas station: transportation and service vocabulary: 1. The transparency of form: Observing 加 (jiā) or 油 (yóu) helps connect the character's shape to its meaning, instead of memorizing it blindly. 2. The leap from character to word: These characters are rarely used alone; learning one opens the door to many new words. 3. Memory through context: Learning a character like 站 (zhàn) together with a real sentence helps far more than memorizing its meaning in isolation.
