那nà天tiān上学shàngxué，我wǒ去得qùde很晚hěnwǎn。/Ese día, fui tarde a la escuela./That day, I went to school late.
怕pà韩麦尔Hánmài'ěr先生xiānsheng骂mà我wǒ，我wǒ就jiù想xiǎng不bú去qù上学shàngxué了le，到dào野外yěwài去qù玩玩wánwan吧ba。/Temiendo que el señor Hamel me regañara, pensé en no ir a la escuela, e ir a jugar al campo./Afraid that Mr. Hamel would scold me, I thought about not going to school, and going to play in the countryside instead.

最近zuìjìn两liǎng年来niánlái，我们wǒmen的de一切yíqiè坏huài消息xiāoxi都dōu是shì从cóng那里nàli传出来chuánchūlái的de。/En los últimos dos años, todas nuestras malas noticias venían de ahí./In the last two years, all our bad news had come from there.
我wǒ急忙jímáng向xiàng学校xuéxiào跑去pǎoqù。/Corrí apresuradamente hacia la escuela./I hurried towards the school.
平常píngcháng日子rìzi，学校xuéxiào开始kāishǐ上课shàngkè的de时候shíhou，总有zǒngyǒu一阵yízhèn喧闹xuānnào。/En los días normales, cuando la escuela comenzaba las clases, siempre había un alboroto./On ordinary days, when school began classes, there was always a commotion.
