Dáfēnqí huà jīdàn/Da Vinci pinta huevos/Leonardo da Vinci Drew the Eggs
/Da Vinci es uno de los pintores más destacados de Italia./Da Vinci is one of Italy's most outstanding painters.
/De niño, el padre de Da Vinci contrató a un maestro para que le enseñara a pintar./As a child, Da Vinci's father hired a teacher to teach him to paint.
/El primer día, el maestro trajo un huevo y le pidió a Da Vinci que lo pintara./On the first day, the teacher brought an egg and asked Da Vinci to paint it.
/Da Vinci pensó: “Esto es demasiado sencillo.”/Da Vinci thought: “This is too simple.”
/Así que tomó el pincel y se puso a pintar; en poco tiempo ya había terminado./So he picked up his brush and started painting; before long, he had finished.
The next day, the teacher brought another egg and asked him to paint it again; he was a bit unwilling, but he painted it anyway.
/Durante varios días seguidos, el maestro siguió pidiéndole que pintara huevos./For several days in a row, the teacher kept asking him to paint eggs.
达·芬奇Dáfēnqí不高兴了bùgāoxìngle,问wèn老师lǎoshī:“老师Lǎoshī,您nín怎么zěnme天天tiāntiān让ràng我wǒ画huà鸡蛋jīdàn呢ne?/Da Vinci se disgustó y le preguntó al maestro: “Maestro, ¿por qué me hace pintar huevos todos los días?/Da Vinci became upset and asked the teacher: “Teacher, why do you make me paint eggs every day?
Can painting eggs really make someone a painter?”
老师Lǎoshī笑了笑xiàolexiào说shuō:“你Nǐ看kàn,今天的jīntiānde鸡蛋jīdàn和hé昨天的zuótiānde鸡蛋jīdàn是不是shìbushì一样yíyàng呢ne?”/El maestro sonrió y dijo: “Mira, ¿el huevo de hoy y el de ayer son iguales?”/The teacher smiled and said: “Look, is today's egg the same as yesterday's egg?”
/Da Vinci miró el huevo y dijo: “No hay ninguna diferencia.”/Da Vinci looked at the egg and said: “There's no difference at all.”
The teacher shook his head and said: “In the world, no two eggs are completely the same.
/Solo observando con detenimiento se puede pintar bien.”/Only by observing carefully can you paint well.”
The teacher's words were very inspiring to Da Vinci.
From then on, Da Vinci persisted in painting eggs every day.
/Nadie sabe con certeza cuántos huevos llegó a pintar en total./No one can say for sure how many eggs he ended up painting.
It was precisely by starting with painting eggs, and through diligent study and hard practice, that Da Vinci finally became a great painter.
Pedagogical Commentary: Nie Er: musical creation and patriotic spirit: 1. The transparency of form: Observing 曲 (qǔ) or 特 (tè) helps connect the character's shape to its meaning, instead of memorizing it blindly. 2. The leap from character to word: These characters are rarely used alone; learning one opens the door to many new words. 3. Memory through context: Learning a character like 灵 (líng) together with a real sentence helps far more than memorizing its meaning in isolation.
