/Papá: ¿Quieres ponerme a prueba? Dime./Dad: Want to test me? Go ahead.
亮亮Liàngliang:早上四条腿zǎoshangsìtiáotuǐ,到dào了le中午zhōngwǔ两条腿liǎngtiáotuǐ,当dāng太阳tàiyáng落山luòshān时shí又yòu变为biànwéi三条sāntiáo腿tuǐ,这是zhèshì什么shénme?/Liangliang: Por la mañana cuatro patas, al mediodía dos patas, cuando el sol se pone tres patas, ¿qué es?/Liangliang: In the morning four legs, at noon two legs, when the sun sets three legs, what is it?
/Papá: Eso es demasiado fácil, no me vencerá./Dad: That's too easy, it won't stump me.
/Liangliang: Entonces dime rápido, papá./Liangliang: Then tell me quickly, dad.
¿Verdad?/Dad: It's man. Right?
亮亮Liàngliang:你怎么知道的nǐzěnmezhīdàode?/Liangliang: ¿Cómo lo sabes?/Liangliang: How do you know?
¿Sabes cómo se originó?/Dad: This is a very famous riddle. Do you know how it originated?
/Liangliang: Claro que sí. Está relacionado con la Esfinge de la pirámide./Liangliang: Of course I know. It's related to the pyramid's Sphinx.
Then tell me what it's about.
It's said that Sphinx is the Sphinx of mythology. It often caused trouble on a road leading to Cairo, and upon encountering someone would pose that riddle, for people to guess.
爸爸Bàba:要是猜不出来呢yàoshicāibùchūláine?/Papá: ¿Y si no lo adivinaban?/Dad: What if they couldn't guess it?
La Esfinge, al ver a ese joven, de nuevo planteó ese acertijo./Liangliang: Whoever couldn't guess it would be eaten by it. Later, a young man, hearing of this, decided to eliminate the danger for the people, and went to try. The Sphinx, seeing that young man, again posed that riddle.
爸爸Bàba:那个年轻人nàgeniánqīngrén猜出来了吗cāichūláilema?/Papá: ¿Ese joven lo adivinó?/Dad: Did that young man guess it?
/Liangliang: Al principio el joven también sintió que era difícil de adivinar, pero al final lo adivinó./Liangliang: At first the young man also felt it was hard to guess, but in the end he guessed it.
Sīfēnkèsījiùbùnéngchītāle。/Papá: Entonces la Esfinge ya no pudo devorarlo./Dad: Then the Sphinx couldn't eat him.
The Sphinx felt it had no face to show to people, and took its own life. From then on, people could walk that road again.
¿Quién te lo contó?/Dad: This riddle is really interesting. Who told you about it?
It was introduced in our Chinese textbook, at first I also couldn't guess it, but later I found this riddle really interesting.
