在Zài中国Zhōngguó西南部xīnánbù的de青藏Qīng-Zàng高原Gāoyuán上shàng，耸立着sǒnglìzhe世界shìjiè第一dìyī高峰gāofēng——珠穆朗玛峰Zhūmùlǎngmǎ Fēng。/En la Meseta Tibetana, al suroeste de China, se alza el pico más alto del mundo: el Monte Everest, también llamado Qomolangma./On the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in southwestern China stands the world's highest peak — Mount Qomolangma (Everest).

相传Xiāngchuán在zài中国Zhōngguó的de西藏Xīzàng有yǒu一个yíge美丽měilì的de女神nǚshén，名叫míngjiào珠穆朗玛Zhūmùlǎngmǎ。/Se cuenta que en el Tíbet de China había una hermosa diosa llamada Qomolangma./It is said that in Tibet, China, there was a beautiful goddess named Qomolangma.

不久Bùjiǔ，这个zhège消息xiāoxi在zài藏族Zàngzú同胞tóngbāo中间zhōngjiān传开了chuánkāile。/Poco después, la noticia se difundió entre los compatriotas tibetanos./Before long, the news spread among the Tibetan compatriots.
人们Rénmen不仅bùjǐn喜欢xǐhuan珠穆朗玛Zhūmùlǎngmǎ，而且érqiě向往xiàngwǎng她tā居住jūzhù的de地方dìfang，于是Yúshì纷纷fēnfēn从cóng各地gèdì搬到bāndào珠穆朗玛Zhūmùlǎngmǎ居住jūzhù的de雪峰xuěfēng下xià，修xiū寺庙sìmiào，建jiàn房屋fángwū，种zhòng粮食liángshi，放fàng牛羊niúyáng，在zài这里zhèlǐ建设jiànshè幸福xìngfú的de家园jiāyuán。/La gente no solo apreciaba a Qomolangma, sino que también anhelaba el lugar donde vivía, así que muchos se mudaron de distintos lugares al pie de la montaña nevada donde ella vivía, construyendo templos, levantando casas, cultivando grano, criando ganado, y estableciendo allí un hogar feliz./People not only loved Qomolangma, but also longed for the place where she lived, so many moved from various places to settle at the foot of the snowy peak where she lived, building temples, constructing houses, growing grain, raising cattle and sheep, and establishing a happy homeland there.
从此Cóngcǐ，这zhè座zuò高高的gāogāode山峰shānfēng就jiù被bèi称作chēngzuò“珠穆朗玛峰Zhūmùlǎngmǎ Fēng”。/Desde entonces, esta alta montaña pasó a llamarse “Monte Qomolangma”./From then on, this tall peak came to be called “Mount Qomolangma.”
