古代没有纸，人们常常把字写在竹片上，很不方便。/En la antigüedad no había papel, la gente solía escribir en tiras de bambú, lo cual era muy incómodo./In ancient times there was no paper, people often wrote on bamboo strips, which was very inconvenient.
公元一五年，中国有个叫蔡伦的人，决心造出一种又好又方便的东西，给人们写字。/En el año 105, hubo en China un hombre llamado Cai Lun que decidió crear algo bueno y práctico para que la gente escribiera./In the year 105, there was a man in China named Cai Lun who decided to create something good and convenient for people to write with.
他做了很多试验，把树皮、草和破布泡在水里，打成纸浆，再把纸浆铺在竹帘上。/Hizo muchos experimentos, remojando corteza de árbol, hierba y trapos viejos en agua, los convirtió en pulpa de papel, y luego extendió la pulpa sobre una esterilla de bambú./He did many experiments, soaking tree bark, grass and old rags in water, turning them into paper pulp, then spreading the pulp on a bamboo screen.
纸浆干了以后，拿下来就成了纸。/Cuando la pulpa se secaba, al despegarla se convertía en papel./After the pulp dried, taking it off turned it into paper.
纸是蔡伦发明的。/El papel fue inventado por Cai Lun./Paper was invented by Cai Lun.
造纸术是中国古代四大发明之一。/La técnica de fabricación de papel es uno de los cuatro grandes inventos de la antigua China./Papermaking is one of the four great inventions of ancient China.
