说Shuō“勤qín”/Sobre la “diligencia”/On “Diligence”
With diligence, nothing under heaven is difficult.”
/Han Yu, el gran literato de la dinastía Tang, también dijo una vez: “La maestría se perfecciona con la diligencia.”/Han Yu, the great writer of the Tang dynasty, also once said: “Mastery is perfected through diligence.”
/La diligencia, para las personas que aman el estudio y quieren progresar, es una virtud./Diligence, for people who love learning and want to progress, is a virtue.
The diligence we speak of means being good at cherishing time, being diligent in studying, diligent in thinking, diligent in exploring, diligent in practicing, and diligent in summarizing.
/En todas las épocas y lugares, cualquier logro alcanzado es inseparable de la diligencia./In all times and places, any achievement attained is inseparable from diligence.
The famous Chinese historian Sima Qian, from the age of twenty, traveled on foot across the Yangtze River basin, the Yellow River basin, and the southwestern region, over the course of fifteen or sixteen years, gathering a great amount of social and historical material, in order to write the historical masterpiece “Records of the Grand Historian.”
德国Déguó伟大的wěidàde诗人shīrén、小说家xiǎoshuōjiā和hé戏剧家xìjùjiā歌德Gēdé,前后qiánhòu花了huāle五十八wǔshíbā年的niánde时间shíjiān,积累了jīlěile大量的dàliàngde写作xiězuò材料cáiliào,才cái写出了xiěchūle诗剧shījù《浮士德Fúshìdé》,对duì世界shìjiè文学wénxué界jiè和hé思想sīxiǎng界jiè产生了chǎnshēngle巨大jùdà影响yǐngxiǎng……/El gran poeta, novelista y dramaturgo alemán Goethe dedicó, en total, cincuenta y ocho años, acumulando una gran cantidad de material literario, para poder escribir el drama poético “Fausto”, que tuvo una enorme influencia en el mundo de la literatura y del pensamiento.../The great German poet, novelist, and playwright Goethe spent a total of fifty-eight years, accumulating a great amount of writing material, in order to write the poetic drama “Faust,” which had an enormous influence on the literary and intellectual world...
In ancient Greece there was a man who, because he stuttered as a child, often mispronounced words when giving speeches on stage, but he didn't lose heart at all.
To overcome this weakness in public speaking, and strive to defeat his rivals, every day he put pebbles in his mouth, and practiced speeches facing the sea, for fifty years as if it were one day, regardless of the season, always persisting in practicing.
/Este hombre finalmente se convirtió en el orador más famoso de toda Grecia./This man finally became the most famous orator in all of Greece.
This shows that, even people with an innate limitation, as long as they are diligent and love learning, can likewise become intelligent, and achieve success.
/Innumerables hechos nos demuestran que la diligencia es la antorcha que enciende la sabiduría./Countless facts tell us that diligence is the torch that ignites wisdom.
The magnitude of a person's achievements depends, crucially, on their degree of diligence.
/Los perezosos no logran alcanzar éxitos en su carrera, ni consiguen volverse cada vez más inteligentes; solo los diligentes pueden obtener conocimientos y habilidades reales en el infinito océano del saber, y abrir constantemente nuevos campos del conocimiento./Lazy people won't achieve success in their careers, nor will they become increasingly intelligent; only diligent people can gain real knowledge and skill in the boundless ocean of knowledge, and constantly open up new fields of knowledge.
/Gorki dijo una vez: “El genio nace de la diligencia.”/Gorky once said: “Genius comes from diligence.”
This means that, as long as we are diligent and hardworking, and persist without letup, we will surely be able to achieve success in our endeavors.
