/Hoy en día, el “Muro de Adriano” se ha derrumbado en algunas partes, pero todavía hay muchos lugares que permanecen bastante intactos./Today, “Hadrian's Wall” has collapsed in some places, but there are still many places that remain quite intact.

Among the mountains of northern England, “Hadrian's Wall”, illuminated by the setting sun, looks like a golden belt, connecting the busy ports on the east coast with the beautiful grasslands on the west coast.
It shows the architectural intelligence and wisdom of the ancient English and Romans, and is one of the most famous historical monuments in Britain.

Luómǎ/Todos los caminos conducen a Roma/All roads lead to Rome
/“Todos los caminos conducen a Roma” es un famoso proverbio occidental./“All roads lead to Rome” is a famous Western proverb.
It is said that at that time, starting a journey from any main road on the Italian Peninsula and even in Europe, as long as one walked without stopping, they could eventually reach Rome.
/Su significado es similar al modismo chino “shūtútóngguī” (diferentes caminos llevan al mismo objetivo), o al dicho popular “el agua fluye mil millas para regresar al mar”./Its meaning is similar to the Chinese idiom “shūtútóngguī” (different routes lead to the same goal), or the popular saying “water flows a thousand miles to return to the sea”.
In the 1st century BC, the ancient city of Rome was the political, economic, and cultural center of the great Roman Empire, which spanned the three continents of Europe, Asia, and Africa.
/El Imperio Romano, con el fin de fortalecer su dominio, construyó carreteras principales centradas en Roma y que se dirigían en todas direcciones./To strengthen its rule, the Roman Empire built main roads centered on Rome and leading in all directions.
From the 8th century AD, Rome became the center of Catholicism, and many believers from various places traveled there for pilgrimage.
/Por lo tanto, surgió el proverbio “Todos los caminos conducen a Roma”./Therefore, the proverb “All roads lead to Rome” came into being.
/La antigua Roma fue una ciudad clave en el oeste de la antigua Ruta de la Seda terrestre, mientras que la ciudad clave en el este era Chang'an (hoy Xi'an), capital de la dinastía Tang; de ahí el dicho: “En el este está Chang'an, en el oeste está Roma”./Ancient Rome was a key town in the west of the ancient overland Silk Road, while the key town in the east was Chang'an (now Xi'an), the capital of the Tang Dynasty; hence the saying: “Chang'an in the east, Rome in the west.”
